Art Markets and Titanosaurs

Welcome to the first blog post I’ve made since I was 15 :)

I hope I’m able to give you a breather from an endless scroll on Instagram/tiktok/twitteX… Maybe I’ve interrupted you at the right time? At first, I wanted to lure you into signing up to a newsletter. That sounds rather sinister. It was going to be a lot like these blog posts will be. I realised I wouldn’t be able to keep on top of sending out monthly newsletters on a strict schedule. This will do for now.

Jam and I at the Oxford Art Market in James Street Tavern, we met so many lovely people and had some unexpected visits from dear friends :,) ✿ 28th Jan 2024 ✿

Another first since I was in my mid-teens: I held a stall at an Art Market! From about ages 14 to 16, I taught myself how to use a sewing machine and made purses, bags and pincushions. I sold these as local craft fairs in little Bedfont, where I grew up. This time it feels very different - while I did make the purses from scratch, I didn’t design the fabric. Now it’s just me and my own artworks (and Jam<3)

For each fair I’m planning to debut a new print - I’ve popped my Art Market Schedule at the bottom of this post. Around April/May, all of these prints (and hopefully more lovely things) will be available to grab in a Spring shop update! Below is the newest a5 print, I completed this piece in January.

There are some new bookmark designs in the works - some digital drawings, some traditional. I have a few new sticker ideas too!

I have some framed originals for sale on my market stall - my plan is to keep making them and include them in my spring shop update

Here’s me at the art market on 25th February 2024, I ordered an excessive amount of green gingham for this market. I think it was worth it? Compliments the colours in my work nicely!

Going further back in time (6th Jan)

May have left it a bit late (I’m very forgetful) but Jam and I went to see a large friend on the first weekend of 2024, a week before the exhibition ended…

Everything in the Titanosaur exhibition shop was on sale, so of course we had to do a bit of a shopping spree

I think I’ll redo my reconstruction of Patagotitan, I’m feeling *✲⋆inspired*✲⋆

well behaved, or waiting for the perfect moment to strike?

My new vlog is up now - finally we’ve made it to the end of 2023
